Observing The Mind

April 1, 2017 By Josette

The natural state of the mind is wholeness, no division, no duality.

The not-self mind  trickes itself into thinking its separate. It becomes fearful.   The not-self  mind  believes that the world is against it.. The mind has become so fragmented that it becomes our worst enemy .

It’s a wonderful exercise to watch the mind and begin to realize that thoughts are like passing clouds. If you simply watch  your mind the thoughts pass through . The key is too not identify with the thoughts.

Meditation is not meant to be separate from the continuity of living, from day to day.  Setting a specific time to mediate plays into separation. True meditation is actually the awareness of watching the mind during daily activities.

We must realize that we are the observer.

This can be empowering, we believe we are the helpless victim to our thoughts.  We must harness a new awareness, a new presence which is ceaseless.

The ritual of a quiet room with candles leaves us always yearning to come back to that moment, to recreate it, this implies time which is memory and memory keeps us from the present.

Memory keeps us imprisoned in our traumas and the past which we desperately want to recapture. We cannot let go and we age because we have become like static water in the present because we spiritually exist in a past that has passed away.

The mind turns the present into the past, and simultaneously projects a make believe future

The present moment is creation, everything that has ever happened, happened in the present. The mind turns the present into the past, and simultaneously projects a make believe future. True meditation has no future or past. No fragmentation.

True mediation is watching the mind while at work, while doing the dishes and cleaning the house, while walking down the street, having a discussion with a loved one.

The color transference technique  in the Holistic Analysis will help you discover the Awareness Potential of your mind. It is a radical way to align ourselves so we can be in the correct place to have the correct experience with the correct people so that our life has an opportunity to play out to its fullest potential.
